How to Write About Death

The School of American Thanatology
"Death and Spirituality" - A 7-class series
Tuesdays, October 12, 19, 26, and November 2, 9, 16, and 23, 2021
A unique and creative writing course based on aspects of thanatology, which is the science of death, dying, grief and healing. While the course is geared toward those interested in becoming death workers and companions, the skills learned can be applied to all genres of writing.
Create content for websites, learn how to write memorable essays and articles for publication. We will examine poetry, humor, and journaling.
Guided imagery exercises will be used and practical writing tips will be taught.

Back by popular demand! Write a memory that will entertain and inform loved ones about your life. A one page memoir becomes a treasured, unique gift. Sometimes a story, well told, can lead to publication! Writing prompts and guidance will be given in a fun and encouraging environment. All writing levels are welcome, especially novices. If you are terrified but yearn to put pen to paper, then surprise yourself with how easy it can be.
